Nizet was born in Central California and started investigating photography in his early teenage years. Based in Paris since 2010, his current work is reminiscent of William Eggleston and Henry Wessel’s aesthetics. He graduated from Serge Galle’s Image Ouverte photo School in 2008 where he was mentored by Bernard Plossu. There, he perfected his color lab and black and white printing techniques along refining his exclusive use of a fixed 35 mm lens and color film. Entangling both photo documentary and autobiographical references, Nizet circumvents cropping or photoshopping his work, making it frontal yet personal, seeking the ineffable.
